So where were we? Ah yes, genocide against the Amalekites. I see what you did there. What you are doing is changing the argument to suit your conclusion or not understanding what you are arguing against. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say it's probably the latter. Do correct me if I'm wrong.
And lest I forget... Judgement!
Alan Moore says:
From a Wired interview with Alan Moore
Instead it seemed that the existence of Watchmen had pretty much doomed the mainstream comic industry to about 20 years of very grim and often pretentious stories that seemed to be unable to get around the massive psychological stumbling block that Watchmen had turned out to be, although that had never been my intention with the work.
Psalms 43
Verse 5
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
Love is in the air
All the interesting parts of KDE 4.2.0 are now in macports. A port search kde4 on my machine says there are 21 ports available: digikam, digikampluskipi-latest, digikampluskipi-svn, kdebase4, kdebase4-runtime, kdeedu-svn, kdeedu4, kdegames4, kdegraphics-svn, kdegraphics4, kdelibs4, kdemultimedia4, kdenetwork4, kdepim4, kdepimlibs4, kdesdk4, kdeutils4, koffice2-devel, ktorrent, phonon and qimageblitz. There is also amarok and amarok-devel which for some reason wasn't listed by the command above. Executing that particular command on my machine is a bit misleading though.

Fire Proof
So hey, I watched this movie a few months ago called Fireproof. It's a christian movie about a firefighter who's having marital troubles with his wife. Now that the movie's out on DVD I'm hearing about it on the radio and it seems like it's becoming kind of a big thing. The fact that this movie even got released in theaters surprised me.
Here, there be dragons.
Hey there. Last night, at apparently 10:41 p.m. KDE 4.2.0 went into macports. It is but a sudo port sync away. That's not really important though. :-)
The real reason for this entry is Dragon Player. It works. Much to my surprise - evidenced by the comment below in the kdemultimedia4 portfile.
default_variants +no_dragon
variant no_dragon description "Do not install dragon player" {
# In the future when Ian cares about OS X (and we have robots)
# this won't have to be the default
Home again, home again
Home again! Preparing to go to sleep by Bleach (not Beach) and I just thought I'd say Hi
:-). I saw a frozen lake while flying over St. Louis today. It was beautiful. Pretty mellow and that's how the rest of the day went. It was a welcome departure from Friday night/Saturday morning; rushing from Terminal to Terminal @ JFK, AirTrain hopping betwixt said Terminals, then running to catch a bus to LaGuardia. In retrospect the detour to my Mom in NY was, perhaps, not the best thing to do.
Feeling Campy
And I'm finally at Camp KDE. American Airlines sucked. Really, don't ever take them if you can avoid it.
In more cheery news meeting the "North American" KDE Krew was pretty cool. Oh, and wifi works. And the sea is awesome. Did I mention there's a water park just down the street? Yeah.

Ah cannae hold'r t'gether cap'n!

Macports++
Well trac tickets (bug reports) have been coming in fast and furriously [sic] for the kde4 portfiles in macports. This, is a good thing. It means other people are actually using them. KDE world domination is slowly marching forward and I couldn't be happier about this. Between Nokia internet devices, OS X, Vista, and even Windows 7, KDE everywhere is becoming a reality. Whodathunk?

Marvel's digital comics. What a croc.
I received another e-mail from Marvel Enterprises, Inc. today. They were trying to get me to come back to their Marvel Digital Comics subscription. My subscription period had been for a year, November to November, but I prevented my subscription from getting renewed in late October as I'd decided that the service wasn't serving me well. Now don't get me wrong, it's a great service and a great way to read some gems you would otherwise have missed, provided you can put up with all the crap you've got to deal with. And there starteth my rant.
Madports
Since Wednesday, we've had KDE 4.1.3 in the macports ports system. This means that if you do something like port install amarok or port install ktorrent (yes those two are actually available) they will automagically be installed for you, with all the dependencies taken care of.

Taming the Leopard
Being only one post away from breaking my "most posts in a month record" and somewhat making up for the dearth is posting last month, I present to you "Taming the Tiger!". Er, Leopard that is.
Camping Out
This January, God willing and KDE E.V. paying, I'll be in Jamaica for the 1st (hopefully) annual Camp KDE conference. Camp KDE spun out of the KDE 4.0 release event which took place in Mountain View, Cali at Google's place. Legend has it the organizers of the event realized that there were a lot of people who weren't going to the akademies in Europe because they a) couldn't afford it b) had other engangements at that time. I can relate to both points as I was always either in school whenever they had akademy (scheduled too close to end of semester/exam season) or couldn't afford to go.
