Ah, cripes. I have to do work now.

OK, time to start whining again. nhn maliciously and willfully tricked me into trying to un-Qt3Supportify amarok's codebase. By maliciously I mean he seemed nothing but enthusiastic when I volunteered to do it. And by willfully I mean he (along with hydrogen) were being overtly (sic) helpful whenever I ran into trouble. Clearly something foul is afoot, and I will not rest until I get to the bottom of it!

What's that thing right there?

There are things. Things I believe I should not have to know. Things I wish I did not know. And then there are other things, things which, whether I want to know them or not, are so pertinent to the issues at hand that it would be fatal to not know them. This is one of those things. This too.

Maah Föcker

Xine. Xine-lib. Xine. Xine. Xine. Seen. I hate, nay loathe you. My contempt for you burns brighter than the sun in the noonday sky. It burns whiter than dying star immediately preceding supernovadom. And yet, like a battered wife, I keep coming back for more. Is it because I think I love you? Is it because I'm scared? Is it because at the moment there just isn't anything better?
Yes.

Amarok 2.0: The Epic Journey

Dedication. Determination. Diligence. These are but a few of the uncharacteristic qualities which your raconteur had to dredge up from deep down within himself in order to get Amarok to compile on Mac OS X Leopard. "Amarok?" You say? Yes boys and girls, Amarok. That venerable and much vaunted piece of software which has inexplicably transcended the bounds of mere software and somehow attuned itself to a higher plane. That Amarok.

As we proceed, to give me what I need...

I don't know why I do this. Eventually I get bored with it and just let it lie stagnant. Unmaintained. Ignored. I'm speaking about my website of course. Or what passes for it. As is hinted at by my banner it's a "Brand New Day". Comic book fans (Spider-Man comic book fans specifically) will recognize this as the tagline for the first story arc after the Spidey books were "rebooted". Think of it as a less convoluted version of Infinity Crisis, for Spidey, while still being an awesome read.
